After completing his BDS at the Government Dental College and Hospital, Ahmedabad, Dr. Kanani pursued a three year MDS in Pedodontics at Sharad Pawar Dental College and Hospital, Wardha. Over nine years of practice he has treated between 1,500 and 2,000 children, developed special expertise in treating children with special needs, and taken part in many free dental camps for orphaned children.
